Dr. Özay Özkaya

She graduated from Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 1999.
Between the years 2001-2007; she completed her training in Plastic and Reconstructive
Surgery in Istanbul Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospital.
In 2013 she won the title of Associate Professor and she worked as Head of the Department of Plastic Recontsructive and Aesthetic surgery clinic Surgery in İstanbul Prof. Dr. Cemil Taşcıoğlu Training and Research Hospital, between 2013 and 2018.
She was appointed as Professor in 2020.
She is working as a private doctor since 2018 in her own clinic.
Dr. Özkaya had total 78 scientific articles including 54 international and 24 domestic articles, more than 200 citations to these articles, 2 international book chapter writing, 3 book chapter translation.
Dr. Özkaya is a member of Turkish Society of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons, Turkish Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery, Turkish Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ISAPS).
Dr. Özkaya worked as member of the Board of Directors of Turkish Society of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons between 2012-2014, 2014-2016 and 2018-2020 in different positions.
Her clinical interests are; postbariatric surgery and post-mastectomy breast reconstruction.
